Description:
''Dynamo'' (1992) is an album made by Argentinian Rock band Soda Stereo, it is its Sixth Studio material which had primarily influences from Shoegaze but also from Psicodelic Rock and Dream pop, commonly giving a sense of similarity to bands like My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Catherine Wheel, Etc. But the Album didn't had the same reception from its audience and wasn't marketed and expanded as their previous musical works this was due to it's change in the way it sounded from having influences of new wave and ska punk to a more Shoegaze and Noisy Pop kind of sound, and also other issues with their agreement with Sony Music.
Even though it wasn't a commercial success, It can certainly be said that it was an exceptional work, one that has become over time, a cult classic, exquisite and sophisticated. Dynamo was their sixth studio album, produced in collaboration with Daniel Melero and recorded at the band's own studio, Estudio Supersónico, in Buenos Aires. It is also considered one of the most influential albums for modern rock in Latin America.
The value of Dynamo lies in the sonic experimentation undertaken by Gustavo Cerati, Zeta Bosio, and Charly Alberti, an album that showcased a side of the band with greater creative freedom, a freedom afforded by the success and recognition of their previous work. In other words, they no longer had anything to prove to anyone.
